Residents from the quirky NoDa neighborhood sporting green shirts and carrying “YIMBY” signs gave Charlotte City Council a standing ovation after funding for the Mecklenburg Mill project passed 9-2.
Council members LaWana Mayfield andAndy Dulin cast the two votes opposing a $1.25 million funding request from The Community Builders.
